Job Description

Organon is hiring a Project Engineer to join our world-class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland. 

In this pivotal role, you’ll support the delivery of a new, state-of-the-art granulation suite—driving the project from early concept through to commissioning and validation. This is a hands-on opportunity for a motivated engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and enjoys working collaboratively to bring complex pharmaceutical projects to life. 

Organon Cramlington is driving an ambitious portfolio of capital investments including facility development and equipment replacement. This position will be a key part of the team delivering these projects shaping an exciting future for the site.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Act as a key member of the project team delivering a new granulation suite. 

  • Contribute to business case development, vendor selection, and project design. 

  • Define project scope and collaborate with engineering partners on detailed design. 

  • Deliver accurate cost estimates and manage budgets for assigned work packages. 

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and engineering standards. 

  • Support construction, equipment installation, and commissioning activities. 

  • Lead change control processes and documentation. 

  • Work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing, cross-functional team. 

 

Education, Experience and Skills: 

  • Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent practical experience. 

  • Proven track record in delivering projects within regulated industries (e.g., Pharma, FMCG). 

  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. 

  • Experience with GMP compliance and validation processes. 

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and contractor supervision abilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. 

  • Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable but not essential.
