What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Project Coordinator to join our Product Planning & Development division in a permanent full-time role.
The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is tasked with overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all product-related activities to ensure new products are effectively tailored to meet future customer needs.
The Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating and coordinating the timely development of accessories and vehicle conversions, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to support the achievement of Toyota’s long-term business strategy and regional goals.
This role is in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer.
How you’ll make an impact
Implement established Engineering Project processes and procedures in alignment with defined policies to achieve product development goals. Ensure that any updates to these processes or procedures are thoroughly documented and clearly communicated.
Develop and maintain project schedules and regular reports to provide the business with accurate, timely information that supports effective planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Collect, analyse, and summarise data to prepare and distribute reports, technical documentation, and presentations that support informed decision-making.
Coordinate the procurement of new model parts, arrange vehicle access (both locally and internationally), and plan accessory fitment check activities. Monitor and track any arising issues throughout the process.
Support forums and meetings to ensure project objectives and progress are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders. Facilitate reflection activities to drive continuous improvement, and contribute analysis and insights to enhance business systems, processes, and policies. Serve as the primary point of contact for Engineering Projects, addressing general domestic, export, and import accessory business matters. Resolve queries and issues promptly, and escalate concerns as needed to mitigate risk.
Assist with project budgets by coordinating input from various teams within Product Development.
Your attributes
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent practical experience.
Exposure and experience in automotive product development would be highly advantageous.
Proven experience in project planning and coordination including stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, working with engineers developing accessory products will be highly desirable.
Bring a positive mindset and influence culture within the role’s span of control.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
