Products Quality Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.

Experience: : Two (2) years of related industry experience is required; Five (5) years of related industry experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Travel: 10-25% depending on company needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Product Compliance:

o Ensure products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements and Excellerate Products standards.

o Ensure production process work instructions comply with specifications and standards.

o Approve all changes and deviations from established guidance, including Engineering Change Orders.

o Serve as lead site representative (UL MTR) in industry standard, regulatory, and compliance certification as well as customer audit activities to ensure product compliance.

o Support in-process audits to ensure product compliance during the production process.

o Lead product-related corrective action (CAPA) discussion and closure.

o Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities as required.

· Customer Service:

o Serve as the primary customer contact for quality-related meetings, issues, including specification inquiries and audits.

Lead response and actions associated with customer quality concerns, including complaints and inquiries.

o Engage with Aftermarket Services, engineers and other Subject Matter Experts to address customer quality or field level concerns.

o Lead creation of customer defined quality metric reports.

o Lead analysis of customer quality metric data and reporting to identify opportunities to reduce customer defects. Collaborate with the site engineers to implement improvements.

o Lead CAPA development in response to customer requests.

o Provide feedback and documentation to the customer, as required.

· Product Development:

o Create and maintain all required quality deliverables in support of the Product Development Process, including process FMEAs and Quality Control Plans.

o Lead requirement reviews to ensure product compliance with customer requirements and industry standards for inclusion into the production process.

o Ensure product requirements are included in employee training, as required.

· Continuous Process Improvement:

o Support initial investigation and disposition decisions for Non-Conforming Material (NCM).

o Collect and analyze data trends through QMS software to promote manufacturing quality process improvements.

o Lead CAPA development for repeat or systemic process issues; ensure implementation.
