Are We the Perfect Match?

At Sibelco, we believe building a successful career is a two-way journey. We’re looking for individuals who share our values and vision, just as much as you’re seeking a company that aligns with your aspirations. Together, we can shape the future.

Role Purpose:

This site includes a quarry, sand processing plant, sand storage facilities, and supporting laboratory services. The role involves close collaboration with other Sibelco functions to ensure the continued success of the operation.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who takes ownership of safe and efficient production operations, with a focus on organizing, optimizing, and continuously improving site activities. The position reports to the Operations Manager, Nilsiä, and requires on-site presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise production activities in alignment with safety and environmental standards.

  • Guide and oversee safety practices and procedures on site.

  • Monitor and manage environmental compliance, production quality, and output.

  • Lead and develop the on-site team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance operational processes and standards.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and internal policies.

About you:

We are looking for someone with a technical degree or equivalent experience, ideally with a strong understanding of operation of a mineral processing plant. You’ll thrive in our small but efficient team if you bring a hands-on, pragmatic approach to your work. Proficiency in standard office software (such as Microsoft Office) and basic IT skills are essential for managing operational tasks and reporting. Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is considered an advantage. To succeed in this role, you must be able to communicate clearly and fluently in both Finnish and English, engaging effectively with colleagues across all levels of the organization as well as external partners.
