Role Summary:
The Production Supervisor directs activities within the Imperial QRC team as it relates to valve disassembly, assembly, testing, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. The role requires strong mechanical understanding of valves, including proper teardown, documentation, and reassembly practices. This individual ensures efficient, high-quality production while promoting and working safely within established Flowserve policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Safety, Quality, and Compliance
• Actively support a positive HSE culture to prevent lost time injuries and recordable accidents.
• Ensure compliance with Flowserve policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
• Supervise the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of valves in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and root cause clarity for inspection and repair records.
Production Planning and Execution
• Plan, schedule, and assign personnel to complete work on time, at or below cost, and to Flowserve quality standards.
• Manage daily workflow, capacity planning, and production priorities.
• Oversee teardown and assembly of valves during peak workloads, outages and turnarounds.
• Ensure all testing standards (API 598, API 6D, SPP-4012 Hydrostatic, and high gas pressure) are properly followed and documented.
Technical Leadership and Training
• Train new technicians on valve assembly, testing, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
• Lead by example in handling severe service.
• Provide training for Logix and other digital positioners.
• Engage with second-level engineering and automation support to resolve technical challenges.
Continuous Improvement and Performance
• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Track and manage KPIs (utilization, efficiency, productivity, quality).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with inventory, purchasing, and engineering to remove workflow bottlenecks.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
Leadership and People Development
• Coach and develop team members while promoting Flowserve’s Values & Behaviors.
• Maintain timecards and attendance for direct reports.
• Encourage accountability, positive morale, and a high-performance culture.
• Model strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving across departments.
Preferred Experience and Skills
• Experience with safety and quality systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant supervisory experience in valve repair or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ERP and similar production planning tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting and configuring complex instrumentation and automation systems.
Required Experience:
• Knowledge of diagnostic and testing standards -ANSI, ASME, FCI 70-2
• Experience with digital positioners (Logix, Fisher, Masoneilan, Samson, etc.).
• Ability to coach, train, and develop technical staff in a shop environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and KPI tracking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
