This opportunity is for a Production Program Operations role within the Airborne Sensor Products (ASP) Product Line in the Naval Airborne Systems.

In this position, the Operations team member will partner with Program Management, various functions and factories to shape, develop and execute the strategies and objectives of the product line.

This role will span activities beginning with the front end of the business, supporting proposal activity and planning, through the successful execution of each contract and thru eventual program closure activities.  This position is focused on the ASP Production program. This position is responsible for the collaboration among the program teams which include the factory operations performers to ensure cost, schedule and technical performance of proposed business aligns with business area production capabilities. Also, develops business area Operation’s priorities in support of program deliveries. The chosen candidate will support activities in both the Independence location and Integration site in Dallas, Texas.

What You Will Do:

Coordination of material procurement and supplier management to include assembly, testing, trouble shooting, root cause investigations, participating in EACs. 

Drives cross-functional teams to realize significant improvements in value stream performance.  

Focus will be on executing ASP Production business area On-Time Schedule performance.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Minimum of 5+ years of Program Operations, Management, Operations, or related experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

Proven capability to analyze and use metrics and to convey these metrics in an intelligible manner to team, leadership and other relevant parties

Competence with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project applications

Ensure proper resources are available, priorities established, and communication occurs with all Cross Functional Team members/key stakeholders

Demonstrates initiative, persistence and creativity in problem solving

Understands the value of communication and keeps the team, leadership and other relevant parties fully informed of performance, gaps and success

Experience with SAP and/or ERP Systems

Must understand configuration management and engineering change processes

Must be able to proactively identify and execute opportunities for process and yield improvement, and supportive of business initiatives

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Quality, or related field

Demonstrates initiative, persistence and creativity in problem solving

Experience with processes such as Common PDM, CORE, PRISM, APEX, and CMES

Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision.

Defense Industry experience

Ability to influence development of project objectives and goals.

EVMS Training and/or Certification

Multi-site Leadership experience

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
