Role and Responsibilities

The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for the production planning and overseeing tasks such as production scheduling, production progress management, short/mid/long-term resources management, factory operation strategy, and customer delivery management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound production materials to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitor production on-time start and overtime status with vendors 
  • Organize daily production meetings with internal and external parties to review production concerns (material, machine, mold, and so on)
  • Check daily Open POs to close RTF phones into fulfill customer orders
  • Communicate with HQ and the SCM team to remain current regarding short/mid/long-term production requirements and supply issues
  • Follow up on daily production and communicate with the DF team to ensure on-time shipments
  • Manage vendor invoice confirmation
  • Manage the new model introduction schedule/progress (BOM, development issues, exclusive material schedule, sales requirements), and prepare for the New Product PVR/PRA Slide.
  • Manage EOL (end of life) / Aging model production to avoid any aging issues.
  • Master data management in-house systems such as ERP, FP, and SPES
  • Report production KPI results (weekly). Recommend countermeasures for low KPIs with the respective departments
  • Run various reports such as Bulk SOP, FAI List report, KPI Report, SM3 Planning, RTF information report, etc.
  • Lead various projects

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience required
  • The capability to perform multiple tasks well in a limited time in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build relationships and work closely with the Global Operations Center (GOC at HQ in Korea), as well as Logistics, SCM, and the Carrier Account Teams within SEA to meet the RTF and HQ requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in sales or SCM-related experiences preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and prepare comprehensive spreadsheets and present documents, reports, charts, materials, and related information
  • Ability to gather data, organize, plan, and prioritize multiple assignments and information
  • Demonstrated competency with both oral and written communication
  • Expertise with Microsoft PC software, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing production setting or experience in a similar field is highly preferred
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or similar business enterprise systems for scheduling in highly preferred
