JOB SUMMARY: The Production Control Coordinator coordinates and tracks the progress of manufacturing orders and maintains records of production using computer database system. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain accurate and updated Production Control Center database; log information from production area for completed and in-process jobs; enter data in database indicating amount of scrap and number of repairs for jobs; review work documentation to ensure all steps and processes in job are finished; maintain files in production area; coordinate return order paperwork; update Supervisor on status of production backlog.
  • Assemble WO packets to include all necessary special instructions, test plans, and sales drawings.
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support purchasing department in achieving forecast, objectives and goals.
  • Comply with organizational and departmental purchasing policy and procedure; determine best value of resources based on cost, quality, delivery, risk/exposure, and ability to support product in accordance with specified requirements; and assist in setting standard costs by collecting and reporting market pricing.
  • Periodically assist in other areas at the discretion of the Supervisor.
  • Must be available to support end of month, quarter, and year end activities on Fridays.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education:  High School or Equivalent

  • Experience with data entry and/or retrieval or similar work experience preferred

  • Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand work documentation

  • Computer data entry skills

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Sound employee relations skills 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office and manufacturing floor
