Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Aircraft on Ground (AOG)- Repair Station Quality Manager (Level K) who will ensure aircraft repairs, warranty support and tech assists are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and post-flight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery and return to service based in Everett, Washington.

AOG, Quality manager is responsible for providing Return to Service paperwork for customer aircraft after work has been performed. You will be traveling worldwide for 50% of the year with stays at foreign/domestic locations from 4 to 50 days at a stretch in some cases. This job operates in the FAA Part-145 and requires knowledge of FAA and Boeing Repair Station policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies

  • Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations

  • Provide education, coaching and review of Quality Management System

  • Develop and maintain relationships, partnerships and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of Quality Management System (QMS) experience

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

  • 1+ years of experience with Root Cause Analysis

  • 1+ years of experience using Systematic problem solving skills

  • Possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with the Material Review Board (MRB) Process

  • 3+ years of flight line experience (internal or external)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent communication and teaming skills

  • Bachelor's degree
