DESCRIPTION
The Manager, Product Marketing – Japan will play a key role in driving Matterport’s growth in the region by localizing global marketing campaigns and tailoring them for the Japan market audiences across all sectors Matterport serves.
This role is responsible for ensuring that Matterport’s global marketing initiatives resonate within the market, delivering localized campaigns, messaging, and assets that reflect the region’s industry trends and customer needs. The successful candidate will partner closely with global marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure cohesive, regionally relevant storytelling that drives awareness, engagement, and adoption.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on B2B marketer with experience localizing global campaigns for regional markets and a passion for technology that transforms the way people design, manage, and experience the built world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Localization & Market Adaptation
- Adapt and execute global marketing campaigns to align with Japanese market trends, audience expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop specific messaging, creative, and assets that communicate the value of Matterport’s platform across multiple industries, including real estate, retail, design, hospitality, and construction.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure brand consistency while tailoring campaigns for regional cultural and business nuances.
- Translate global product launches and initiatives into locally relevant go-to-market strategies.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Manage the rollout of integrated B2B marketing campaigns across digital, content, social, and event channels for the markets.
- Work closely with agencies, media partners, and event organizers to amplify Matterport’s brand visibility in the region.
- Produce localized case studies, customer stories, and thought leadership that highlight Matterport’s impact within key sectors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure marketing activities align with the Japan region’s business goals and customer priorities.
- Support sales enablement through localized tools, presentations, and campaign assets.
- Collaborate with CoStar Group’s marketing organization to integrate Matterport messaging within broader CoStar campaigns.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Measure and analyze campaign performance to assess effectiveness and ROI within the Japan market.
- Identify trends and insights to refine targeting, messaging, and creative strategy.
- Provide regular reporting and optimization recommendations to global marketing leadership.
Industry Engagement
- Represent Matterport at regional industry events, trade shows, and conferences, promoting the company’s leadership in spatial data and digital twin technology.
- Build relationships with industry partners, associations, and media to strengthen Matterport’s reputation in the Japan market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of B2B product marketing experience, ideally with SAAS products.
- Proven success localizing or adapting global campaigns for regional markets, preferably within technology, SaaS, or proptech sectors.
- Strong understanding of the business environment and customer behavior across multiple verticals.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical skills and experience using marketing performance tools.
- Collaborative, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Experience in real estate, design, construction, or related industries is a plus but not required.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
