Barkley

Producer, Barkley Films

Kansas City, MO or Denver, CO Full Time

Barkley Films is looking for a Producer who thrives in the process of making things. From broadcast to social to branded content, this role helps bring ideas to life across every screen and format.

As a Producer, you’re part conductor, part creative partner. You know how to balance ambition with precision — managing timelines, budgets, and teams without ever losing sight of the big idea. You’ll work side by side with creatives, account leads, and production partners to make the work shine, and the process feel seamless. You’re curious, resourceful, and love turning creative ideas into finished work. You’re comfortable managing moving parts and motivated by the energy of production. You take ownership of your projects, collaborate with care, and are always looking for ways to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day production workflow on assigned Barkley Films projects; internal and external projects.
  • Partner with Senior and Executive Producers, Creative, Account, and Project Management teams to plan and execute high-quality productions.
  • Engage early in creative development to help shape how ideas come to life.
  • Build and manage production timelines, budgets, and resources with guidance from the Senior Producer.
  • Work with internal production resources — editors, motion designers, camera operators, and drone cinematographers — as well as external partners including directors, DPs, editors, post-audio vendors, and talent agents.
  • Source and coordinate production vendors and freelance partners, ensuring clarity around scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Sweat every detail — schedules, budgets, and creative integrity — to make sure everything stays on track.
  • Stay endlessly curious about new tech, from GenAI and ChatGPT to whatever’s next, and explore how it can push the production process forward.
  • Advocate for inclusive production practices that align with Barkley’s DEI&B goals.
  • Bring calm energy, creative problem-solving, and a “let’s make it happen” attitude to every project.
  • Work closely with Business Affairs to handle rights, clearances, and compliance with SAG-AFTRA and related guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in production, advertising, or a related creative field.
  • Working knowledge of production processes from pre-production through post.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
  • A passion for craft, creativity, and collaboration.
