For our Group Procurement department , we are looking for ​a Group Procurement Performance & Sustainability Manager(f/m/d).

The position is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany and reports to the Head of GP Procurement Performance & Sustainability.

The Group Procurement Performance & Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving excellence across the procurement function by developing and implementing performance management frameworks, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement programs. This role ensures that procurement activities align with strategic business goals, deliver measurable value, and comply with ESG and regulatory standards. This role involves supporting global and local procurement teams and the respective business partners in across all areas and countries, providing expertise in increasing transparency and efficiency.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • Design and implement performance improvements like savings programs, should-costing campaigns, e-Auctions and other means to increase savings.

  • Drive usage, rollout, training and continuous improvement of our strategic SAP Ariba Suite (Sourcing, SLP, Contracts)

  • Lead value-add projects to e.g. strengthen resilience in the supply chain, increase efficiency in procurement processes or improve strategic sourcing activities

  • Develop strategic recommendations aimed at optimizing sourcing processes across various categories while ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing overall procurement effectiveness.

  • Conduct internal data and external market-, system-, and know-how analyses and benchmarking.

  • Collaborate with a) regional and country representatives to jointly develop strategic recommendations, b) other Group stakeholders (e.g. HR, IT, Finance) to streamline the distribution of best practices, facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and enhance access to expertise to increase procurement efficiency and efficacy.

  • Lead and support in data analysis, reporting, data visualization and procurement controlling activities

  • Support in supply chain due diligence & risk management activities

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Procurement or Sales, preferably in the building materials industry; Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Studies or Business Administration

  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing or performance management practicesP (KPI development, strategic sourcing, and project management); decision-making ability in high-stake management scenarios; stakeholder management; international

  • Experience in leading projects across different departments and cultures; practical familiarity with products/services purchased in a manufacturing context, preferably in the building materials industry

  • Expertise in advanced procurement performance and sustainability programs, including effective stakeholder management, change management and data-driven improvements to achieve optimal business outcomes; skilled in leveraging data and process analysis to identify and implement improvement potentials

  • Expertise in e-Sourcing tools for e-tendering and e-Auctions, preferably with SAP Ariba; knowledge of procurement standards, policies, procedures, and sourcing management philosophy; Excellence in using Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.   

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (min. English); working efficiently in diverse teams; hands-on mentality and commitment to deliver tangible results; resilience, autonomy, and leadership qualities.
