At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to continuous improvement is driven by LEAN principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Join us to be part of an innovative environment where your growth is our priority, and experience the numerous advantages of being a valued member of our team.

As a Procurement Business Process Expert (BPE) is assigned to a geography and has 4 main responsibilities:

  • Improvement and change management
  • Process compliance
  • Process performance
  • New IFS10 implementations

As part of the process and data governance model in APMT, BPEs are responsible to capture and validate needs for improvements to processes some of which will require improvement of the common IFS10 platform

used to execute the Procure-to-Pay (PtP) process.

The BPE is responsible for defining requirements and deploying the changes in the organization. System improvements are performed by a technical team.

Using LEAN is the way we drive improvement in APMT, and you will be expected to apply LEAN tools and methodologies when carrying out this

responsibility.

Process compliance

To maintain APMTs process standards BPEs are responsible to monitor the compliance of the PtP process in the organization. This happens through monitoring of KPIs, support for larger internal business reviews and self- performing a number process reviews during the year. Findings can lead to new improvement requirements and training

needs.

Process performance

To support the operation of APMTs terminals in an effective way it is important to monitor if the PtP process is performing well. BPEs are required to monitor this through KPIs and staying in close contact with the executers and users of the process. A BPE will for example maintain a key user community within the region supported.

New IFS10 implementations

APMT is expanding and 1-2 new terminals are currently added to our portfolio every year.

These terminals need to have IFS10 and the associated standard processes implemented.

As a BPE you will have the opportunity to support IFS10 implementations as a process SME including delivering process training to

users in the new terminals.

The BPE role is part of a team of PtP process specialists from Procurement and Finance as well as Data Stewards responsible for maintaining and developing the master data supporting the process. In the role you will be working with similar teams from Inventory, Asset Maintenance and Accounting. You will also be working closely with the local terminal teams in the region you support, the Supply Chain Operations (SCO) organisation located in our nearshore centers in Panama, Tangier and Mumbai, and our Accounts Payable service centers in Pune and Mexico. You should expect some travel as part of the role. Especially, when supporting new IFS10 implementations.

We’re looking for - Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

  • Minimum 5 years experience with the Procure-to-Pay process. Ideally, both hands-on and theoretical. IFS experience is a plus but not a must.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral English proficiency.
  • APMT is using LEAN principles. Experience with using LEAN is not a must as we have a training program but past experience is a plus.
  • We imagine you have a Bachelor or Masters Degree.

What can you expect to learn in this position?

· Gain comprehensive insight into the Source-to-Pay process throughout all APMT terminals, with a particular focus on your region.

· Develop strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working with stakeholders from Procurement, Finance, Asset Maintenance, and Supply Chain Operations to identify optimal company-wide solutions.

· Build proficiency in process improvement methodologies like LEAN and digital platforms such as IFS10, understanding how large-scale ERP platforms are optimized for efficiency and compliance.

· Strengthen your analytical and problem-solving abilities by identifying process gaps, implementing data-driven improvements, and advancing operational excellence initiatives in various settings.

· Play a pivotal role in digital transformation projects, ensuring successful ERP implementations in new terminals and ensuring the successful onboarding of global processes.

· Expand your professional network across APM Terminals’ global organization, collaborating with senior managers, data governance teams, and process specialists worldwide.

· Gain exposure to strategic decision-making and compliance frameworks, preparing you for future roles in process management, procurement leadership, or regional transformation functions.
