As a Process Improvement Specialist you will be responsible for;

 

  • Analyze production, maintenance, and engineering processes using lean tools, time studies, and root cause analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean, and DMAIC methodologies.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, and process reviews to engage stakeholders in problem-solving.
  • Develop and implement standard work, visual management, and 5S across key operational areas.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to integrate process improvements into design and production.
  • Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and provide reporting on project impact, savings, and process efficiency gains.
  • Support the deployment of digital tools or automation to streamline operations.
  • Ensure all improvement initiatives meet aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, EASA Part 145, or NADCAP where applicable.
  • Train and coach team members on lean and continuous improvement principles.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

 

Qualifications;

 

  • 3-6 years of relevant process improvement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process improvement or continuous improvement roles within the aerospace or high-precision manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and other CI methodologies.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, EASA/FAA regulations).
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with tools such as Excel, Minitab, or Power BI.
  • Experience with ERP and MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Desirable Skills;

 

 

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Practitioner.
  • Experience with aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0 tools, or automation systems.
  • Exposure to APQP, PFMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.

 

 

Salary Range: $70K-$90K

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
