Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of process engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Provide guidance, training, and performance management to ensure the team meets productivity and quality objectives. Delegate tasks, allocate resources, and ensure the team is equipped to meet production goals. Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes and implement changes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Monitor process performance, analyze production data, and recommend or implement improvements for increased efficiency. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve process-related issues and prevent recurrence. Oversee the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and proactively address any discrepancies or deficiencies. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen projects to drive efficiency and process standardization. Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. Manage process-related projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and budget. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, maintenance, quality) to execute process changes and enhancements. Track project progress, prepare reports, and communicate status updates to senior management. Promote a culture of safety by identifying and mitigating potential risks, and conducting safety training for the team. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process performance, efficiency, and quality. Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless process flow and resolve any operational issues. Provide technical support and expertise to other departments when required.

Job Specifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) Analytical and problem-solving skills  Knowledge of manufacturing systems Effective in time management and delegation. Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis

Job Complexity and Supervision

Capable of managing multiple projects. Comfortable in a fast-moving business and team environment. Attention to detail and highly motivated. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Fast paced work environment Certain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.

Physical Demands

  • Extensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.
  • Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.
  • Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
