As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the NVIDIA R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution.
What you'll be doing:
Participate in the process of bringing up a new technology from the R&D stage, to the engineering and bring-up then to the high volume manufacturing lines.
Process development using passive and active alignment techniques and machines.
Owner for process development steps in a new product assembly.
New machine development with vendors for various processes.
Documentation of work instructions after process development.
Characterizing and investigating of the compatibility of new adhesives, soldering material, packaging material, etc. , to the optical, interconnect products.
Help in the debug of failures using various methods inspection and characterization methods.
Participate in taskforces related to mass production.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Materials Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
2+ years of experience as a process engineer in the semiconductor, optics, or PCB industry.
Background in both R&D and mass production processes
Experience or ability to work with programable machines for process development.
Experience of working and maintaining different vendors.
Capability of working for many hours both in the lab and in the office.
Well-organized in gathering experiments data, analysis and summary.
Good presentation skills.
Teamwork player as well as a sole worker.
High level of English (Speak, read and write, and ability to travel abroad several times in a year per demand).
Ways to stand out from a crowd:
Experience in both R&D and mass production environments.
Previous role as a process engineer in the semiconductor/optics industry.
Strong background in Materials, Optics, and Mechanics.
