Essential Functions

Under the direction of the Site Manager or Specimen Processor Lead, the Problem Resolution Specialist has frequent contact with patients, hospital employees, physicians, pathologists, nursing personnel, visitors, laboratory personnel, vendors, and regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Patient accessioning, basic requisition entry, specimen processing, customer service inquiries, answering and directing phone calls, patient registration and ICD-10 coding, and other duties, as requested, performed with moderate supervision.
Education Requirements:
1. Requires HS Diploma, prefer an Associate’s degree.
Experience Requirements:
1. Two years’ experience as phlebotomist or extensive knowledge of registration process and laboratory workflow.
2. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
3. Familiar with technology related to practice in Central Receiving section and strong knowledge of laboratory practices.

Pay Range: $21.95-29.30
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
