WSJ Pro, Dow Jones' professional newsletter platform, is seeking a talented and ambitious reporter to cover private markets for our WSJ Pro Private Equity platform. Based in New York, the reporter will be responsible for supporting our platform with insightful scoops, in-depth enterprise stories and data-driven features tailored to a professional audience of private markets investors.
Break news and deliver enterprise coverage of private markets, ranging from deal and firm news, regulatory developments or news involving investors in private markets funds.
Deliver insights into institutional investors including pension funds, endowments and foundations, family offices as well as private wealth managers.
Develop original, subscriber-focused stories that go beyond the news cycle, while managing multiple assignments and delivering timely, insightful company and sector coverage.
Build and cultivate an extensive network of sources across private markets.
You Have:
Strong reporting skills with the ability to identify relevant news and trends for a professional audience and a demonstrated ability to uncover actionable scoops.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
A strong sense of ethics and a commitment to journalistic integrity.
At least three to five years of reporting experience.
Knowledge of private markets is preferred but not required.
