The following position is to join our RTX  Enterprise Services team: 

We are seeking a highly-motivated specialist to be part of the General Accounting team within RTX Corporation’s Enterprise Services – Controllership and Compliance organization in Farmington, Connecticut. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.


What You Will do

  • Responsible for preparing GTF invoices, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and closing activities related to various Pratt & Whitney Military Engine accounts, i.e., corporate allocations, collaboration accounting (assessments, segment allocations), GTF layering, taxes and other month end accruals
  • Miscellaneous deliverables to support disclosures for 10-Q/10-K
  • Participate in process improvement activities related to all central accounting functions as required, i.e., journal entry automation, support finance transformation, other automation efforts.
  • Contribute to General Accounting by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Corporate including answering questions or ad hoc requests as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience gained in a large corporate/public accounting setting or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 3 years’ experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with and knowledge of current finance and accounting systems such as SAP or HFM and month end close procedures
  • At least 3 years’ experience with and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting principles
  • At least 3 years’ working experience and with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • CPA and/or MBA
  • Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP and OneStream
  • Analytical, planning and organizational skills to solve problems and recommend comprehensive solutions
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and the ability to brief levels of management
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
