Principal ASR Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior/Principal ASR Engineer specializing in Japanese to drive the development and enhancement of ASR system. The ideal candidate will leverage their native Japanese language expertise to create, optimize, and support ASR solutions that meet customer requirements and elevate product performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, prepare, and transcribe data for training ASR models.
  • Design and collect evaluation data, perform rigorous testing, and conduct comparative analysis with competitor systems.
  • Analyze ASR errors and refine system performance using Japanese language expertise.
  • Support end-to-end testing, assess customer requirements, and develop tailored ASR solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with multicultural teams across various roles and locations.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Native or highly proficient in Japanese.
  • Strong proficiency in English for effective communication.
  • Over 3 years of experience in ASR development or related fields.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C(++), Python, or Java, with experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Chinese is an advantage.
