Job Summary

The Senior Vice President of Inventory, Pricing, and Procurement is a transformational enterprise leader responsible for defining and executing NAPA Auto Parts’ end to end strategy for inventory management, pricing, and procurement. This role drives growth, profitability, and customer value across all sales channels through decision quality, disciplined execution, and innovation.

The SVP maximizes business performance by optimizing sourcing, pricing, and procurement strategies, and leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. This leader builds high performing teams, develops future enterprise leaders, and fosters cross functional collaboration to enable sustainable growth and operational excellence across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute enterprise strategy for inventory management, pricing, and procurement to drive growth, profitability, and customer value across NAPA’s Wholesale, Commercial, and Retail channels.
  • Integrate and align forecasting, replenishment, sourcing, and pricing strategies to optimize working capital, inventory turns, and margin performance through data-driven decision making.
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to modernize pricing science, procurement capabilities, and supply chain planning using advanced analytics and digital tools.
  • Establish governance frameworks, metrics, and accountability mechanisms that ensure disciplined execution, transparency, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ensure disciplined execution of inventory, pricing and procurement strategies to optimize working capital, cost efficiency, and margin performance across the enterprise.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to ensure end-to-end value delivery and customer responsiveness.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, future-ready organization by developing strong leaders, embedding accountability, and building a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management required; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive enterprise leadership experience in procurement, pricing, inventory, or supply chain within large, complex, multi-channel organizations ideally in retail, wholesale, or automotive sectors.
  • Expertise in pricing strategy, supplier management, and contract negotiations, with a track record of leveraging analytics for strategic decision making and value creation.
  • Advanced financial and analytical acumen, including proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and cost-to-serve optimization.
  • Deep understanding of retail and wholesale dynamics, including merchandising, operations, and full P&L accountability. 
  • Strong executive presence and ability to inspire at all levels, guiding organizations through complexity, change, and strategic growth.
  • Proven success leading and influencing high-performing, cross-functional teams across Finance, Merchandising, Operations, and Sales to deliver results in profitability, inventory optimization, and cost efficiency. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in sourcing, inventory management, and supplier strategy and transformation within automotive retail or fast-moving consumer goods environments. 
  • Demonstrated success architecting enterprise pricing and margin optimization, leveraging data science, predictive analytics, and digital tools.
  • Quantitative marketing, data analytics, or behavioral pricing expertise preferred.
  • Exceptional track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Physical Demands / Working Environment

  • Physical requirements:  normal office environment, ability to sit, stand and operation office equipment.
  • Travel requirements:  Some travel may be required.
  • Can work extended hours when project demands.
