About the role
The Practical Ways of Working Coach plays a central role in embedding Lean thinking and continuous improvement across terminal operations. This position supports the implementation of the Way of Working (WoW) program by coaching teams, facilitating Kaizen events, and guiding leaders in adopting Lean tools and behaviors. The coach helps build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and structured problem-solving, ensuring that improvements are sustained and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Support leadership development through coaching on Lean behaviors and mindset
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and improvement workshops to drive measurable outcomes
  • Guide teams in applying Lean tools and problem-solving techniques
  • Maintain visibility of Kaizen activities, actions, and results across functions
  • Support the rollout of WoW elements including Operating System, Policy Deployment, and Lean Academy
  • Mentor Lean students and build internal capabilities for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to share best practices and support workshops
  • Promote structured thinking and visualization of performance across the terminal
  • Drive engagement and excitement around Lean tools and WoW maturity
  • Provide timely reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities

What we’re looking for
Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

  • A relevant academic background in business, operations, or engineering
  • Experience in Lean, Kaizen, or operational excellence roles, preferably in industrial or logistics settings
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization
  • Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving
  • A proactive and empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clarity and focus
  • Passion for developing others and fostering a culture of learning and innovation
  • Experience in change management or transformation programs is a plus
