The Neuroscience Institute (NI) was launched to bring together faculty and staff from across the University to conduct multi-disciplinary work to advance the state of brain science.

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for the Pitkow Lab.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop computational methods for inference and control that improve the reliable and efficient operation of autonomous agents in complex, uncertain environments.
  • Modeling dynamical systems
  • Designing and extending algorithms grounded in probabilistic machine learning
  • Applying statistical techniques to assess robustness and generalization.
  • Development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and writing reports which contain descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a related field
  • Extensive experience algorithms and machine learning
  • Experience in and with statistics
  • Graduate level research experience
  • A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
