Why this role matters
Post Sale Services is responsible for providing our clients with an accountable and dedicated team to deal with and respond to their post-sale transactional queries across Live and Online sales. Working with other members of the Post Sale Service Team, Shipping, Finance and Specialist Art Departments, the Post Sale Service coordinator will manage, oversee and provide ownership for the in-person collection desk, facilitate property release and provide administrative support to the Post-Sale team. Coordinators performs a daily review of all outgoing shipments, acting as the final compliance and payment check for all property. They also facilitate online checkouts, keep our inbox and workflow running smoothly, manage check and cash deposits, and work to proactively clear aging inventory out of our warehouses with regular inventory tracking and client outreach. This will be achieved whilst upholding Christie’s Client Service Standards for our both our internal and external clients.
How you'll make an impact
Facilitate release of property through Christie’s Payment and Collection Desk
Manage mass email deployment system to provide clients with invoices and settlement related documents
Generate a daily property release list for art handling teams for all outbound shipments and warehouse transfers
Reconcile the property release list to ensure that all items have been actioned
Email management and organization for the Post Sale inbox
Respond to miscellaneous inquiries received through the Post Sale inbox
Review shipping queue daily to check for payment and facilitate timely and compliant release of shipments
Monitor aging inventory at Christie’s to support compliance with NY sales tax regulations
Enter shipping data into Christie’s database to make shipping quotes available to clients through online checkout
Coordinate consolidated and pre-sale packed shipping programs
Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts i.e. Art Transport, Business Support, Client Accounting and Legal to resolve issues.
Provide general administrative support to all Post-Sale Leads and Supervisors such as: check deposits, recording meeting minutes, filing paper records and other duties as assigned by Line Manager

Client facing or similar role advantageous.
Additional languages advantageous i.e. Spanish, Chinese, Italian, French.
Understanding of/experience in the auction industry is beneficial.
Confident in using MS Excel, Outlook and Word
