What will you do:
Coordinate and manage the products under their responsibility with different levels of site and corporate management. Ensures that incoming material meets the quality requirements of the operation and that other key factors are met, such as: delivery, price and terms, lead times, and acceptable MOQ.
How will you do it:
Manage local and U.S. suppliers for external metal treatment services, place orders, expedite, and follow up on open orders.
Purchase goods, materials, or services aligned with demand, quality, and delivery objectives to meet our sales projections.
Ensure timely processing of all purchase orders.
Evaluate potential suppliers to achieve lower costs and reduced lead times, and follow up on approval processes.
Negotiate and review inventory opportunities to generate commercial savings using best practice negotiation and procurement tools and methods.
Maintain system data integrity.
Participate in cost reduction projects.
Attend daily Gemba Walks on the shop floor to understand production department needs.
Participate in monthly conference calls.
Participate in emergency plan activities.
Participate in activities required to comply with the Safety, Health, and Environmental system.
Participate in accident and incident investigations when required.
Participate in all activities assigned related to the High-Performance Teams system.
Keep work tools in good condition.
Ensure order and cleanliness in the work area (implementing 5S).
Comply with established work area schedules.
Perform any other activity assigned by the Supervisor.
Participate in assigned training according to the annual training plan.
Participate in compliance by applying the quality policy.
Follow company rules and procedures.
What are we looking for:
University degree.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong English communication and writing skills.
Strong MS Office skills required. Advanced Excel (index/match, array formulas).
Microsoft Power Apps (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) or other preferred data tools.
Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
Ability to work with peers to achieve common goals.
Practical knowledge of other disciplines such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing, quality control, and accounting.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, engineering change notices, schematics, and special instructions to determine the necessary information to order, purchase, and coordinate the correct item or component.
SAP (desirable).
Ability to work effectively in diverse situations and with different people.
