Physician - General Neurology - Outpatient - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Corewell Health's department of Neurological Health has a unique practice opportunity for a BC/BE general neurologist with a strong interest in teaching.  This position includes a significant amount of time supervising Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (APPs) who are seeing new patients or complex established patients in Grand Rapids or remotely in our regional neurology clinics.  This established model of APP outreach has been very successful in increasing access for patients and providing high clinical satisfaction for both APPs and their supervising neurologist.  The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching and interest in maintaining a small panel of their own. 

Select features of this position:

  • Teaching/supervising position with APPs dedicated to general neurology
  • 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow up visits
  • With regional clinic APP supervision, there is an opportunity for 1-2 remote days per week
  • Strong operational support

Qualifications

  • MD/DO with ability to obtain a full Medical License in the state of Michigan
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology

  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
