Salary & Benefits:
Minimum starting salary of $110,000, commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties:
Serves as a clinic leader, supporting the unit head in overseeing clinic operations, providing guidance, mentorship, and assistance to new providers and staff to ensure effective and coordinated clinical performance.
Collaborates proactively with providers and campus health partners to ensure efficient patient flow and coordinated, timely, and thoughtful care transitions, promoting continuity of care and alignment with the health center’s operational and clinical goals.
Coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
Demonstrates proactive and confident communication skills, both written and verbal; effectively anticipates and addresses concerns, and engages in direct, professional dialogue with colleagues and patients.
Demonstrates respect for and effectiveness in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, including patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
May perform clinical research related to specific operations.
Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
Provides health education to patients, families, and/or community health practitioners and groups.
Provides support and consultation in the event of public health outbreaks and/or emergencies.
Pursues professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Writes appropriate orders, if/when applicable.
Writes progress notes in EMR indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed.
Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree and completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program with Michigan licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)- OR-a Master's degree in Nursing with RN and Certified Nurse Practitioner licensure.
BCLS Certification.
Meets Life support certification as required through privileging.
Minimum Five (5) years of experience caring for traditionally underserved or vulnerable populations.
Proficient in conducting medical examinations using standard medical procedures.
Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of clinical operations, primary and urgent care principles and practices, and current healthcare technologies, trends, and issues.
Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
Knowledgeable about accreditation and certification standards and requirements.
Basic understanding of Care Management and Community Information Exchange.
Ability to communicate therapeutically with patients and families.
Ability to clearly explain medical information to professional practitioners and the public.
Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
Strong communication and crisis-management skills; able to remain calm and effective in emergencies.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for providers and clinic staff.
Collaborative team player who enjoys partnership and shared problem-solving.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and the fast-paced, evolving realities of a college health center startup environment.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
College health experience or other experience working in Higher Education.
Prior experience working in Emergency Room Setting.
Prior experience with SANE services.
Working Conditions:
Clinical office environment. Some travel may be required.
