An IDS (Investigational Drug Service) Pharmacist manages medications for clinical trials, including handling/oversight of dose verification, preparation, storage, and dispensing, while ensuring compliance with regulations and study protocols.Their responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with researchers and healthcare teams, overseeing other staff, and managing the overall integrity of the investigational drug supply for patient safety.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
