What this job involves

This position manages comprehensive pest control operations at a pharmaceutical facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company protocols. The Facility Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and external pest control providers, maintaining oversight of all pest management activities from vendor qualification through service delivery and documentation. This role requires deep knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems and regulatory requirements, as you'll be responsible for maintaining compliance across all pest control operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and audit readiness.
 

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Oversee pest control vendor qualifications, training compliance, and personnel documentation according to company and regulatory standards
  • Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify pest observations and coordinate with licensed technicians for proper identification and treatment
  • Accompany pest control technicians during inspections and services to ensure adherence to site-specific standard operating procedures
  • Create and manage work orders in facility management systems to document services, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Facilitate pre-service meetings with technicians to discuss captured pests, previous service updates, and special circumstances
  • Maintain comprehensive site pest control documentation including safety data sheets, licenses, certifications, and training records
  • Review and approve pest control service reports within required timeframes and upload to validated electronic document repositories
  • Execute monthly facility inspections covering documentation review, training compliance, and physical walkthrough audits
  • Collaborate with quality teams to create, track, and maintain pest control investigation records and corrective action plans
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual pest control program evaluations with internal coordinators and external providers
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to pest control programs
  • Manage preventative and corrective maintenance work orders for pest control devices and ensure timely completion

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (MAXIMO preferred)
  • Strong communication skills for explaining pest control requirements and processes
  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or supporting Good Practice (GxP) environments
  • Additional years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Certification or training in integrated pest management
  • Experience with electronic quality management systems (eQMS)
  • Previous experience coordinating with external service providers in regulated environments
  • Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits
