This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

The Principal, People Experience Team Lead is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strengthening the performance, consistency, and scalability of Blue Origin’s People Experience Team. This role serves as the primary point of escalation for HR Partners (HRPs) and functions as both a program manager and strategic connector across the broader People Experience ecosystem—including Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).

While this position does not have direct reports, the principal will indirectly lead and influence the People Experience team by providing operational guidance, coaching, and strategic direction to HR Partners and peers. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and excels at turning strategy into scalable programs that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for HR Partners and People Experience stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and resolution on complex issues that require cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead program management for key People Experience initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide goals that enhance the PXT service delivery and the overall employee experience.
  • Indirectly guide and influence the People Experience team by establishing clear expectations, promoting consistency, and ensuring alignment across policies, practices, and programs.
  • Develop and scale mechanisms that strengthen operational excellence, standardization, and process efficiency across multiple sites and functions.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs, ER/LR, and COE teams to align People Experience objectives with business priorities.
  • Manage the coordination and tracking of organization-wide goals and operating cadences, ensuring accountability and timely execution.
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a culture ambassador for the People Experience team, modeling Blue Origin’s leadership principles and fostering a high-trust, high-performance environment.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, HR operations, generalist, or service delivery experience.
  • Proven success as a program manager or operational lead driving execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and lead through collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Skilled in drafting clear, structured, and persuasive written communications for senior leadership.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of HR service delivery models and shared services operations.
  • Experience leading organization-wide goal management or continuous improvement programs.
  • Master’s degree, SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification, or PMP certification.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling HR operations and building mechanisms for long-term sustainability.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $152,484.00-$213,477.60

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
