We are now seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our People & Culture Team as a People & Culture Business Partner. This is a fixed-term opportunity to provide parental leave cover, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact while supporting our strategic goals.

Your New Role!  

As a People & Culture Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience across the University. Acting as a trusted HR business partner and change agent, you’ll anticipate workforce needs and deliver strategic, business-focused HR advice that aligns with organisational goals and People & Culture Office (PCO) plans.

This role champions innovative approaches to people management, promotes new ways of working, and empowers leaders to achieve both business and people objectives.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Leadership Programs: Support leadership development initiatives to nurture the growth of our leaders.
  • Strategic HR Advice: Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, job design, recruitment, and onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and advocate for staff concerns.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management processes that drive excellence and growth.

This Fixed Term (12-month parental leave cover) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of HEW0809 $112K – $135K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

As the star candidate you are passionate about driving positive change, protecting the University’s interests, reducing turnover, and maintaining a highly engaged workforce. You will have:

  • A degree in an area of HRM or relevant discipline, with substantial experience in HR partnering,
  • In-depth understanding of legislative and industrial framework,
  • Experience in advising on complex employee relations matters, organisational change programs and other human resource issues; and,
  • Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving mindset.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to provide a current National Police Clearance.
