Diageo's Shared Service Center plays a crucial role in supporting Diageo’s Latin American markets by delivering high-quality financial, operational, and analytical services. By implementing efficient processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, our function ensures that markets benefit from streamlined operations and enhanced business insights. The Payroll function plays a key role in ensuring that Diageo’s employees across Latin America are accurately and timely compensated, reflecting the company’s commitment to operational excellence and employee experience. By managing payroll data, statutory compliance, and internal controls with precision, the team guarantees that payments are processed efficiently and in alignment with both local regulations and Diageo’s global standards. This function not only supports the financial accuracy of the organization but also contributes to employee trust and engagement by ensuring a seamless end-to-end payroll experience.

 

The Payroll Sr. Analyst is responsible for processing payroll data inputs, validating employee information, and ensuring that all transactions are accurately captured in the payroll systems. This role involves close collaboration with HR, Finance, and external providers to resolve discrepancies, manage statutory deductions, and maintain compliance with country-specific labor laws. It requires a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As part of Diageo’s Shared Service Center, the Payroll Analyst plays a vital role in delivering high-quality service, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring that every payroll cycle runs smoothly and with full integrity.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Process and validate all payroll data inputs (e.g., new hires, terminations, bonuses, absences, deductions) in alignment with internal deadlines and local regulations.

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll calculations, approvals, and disbursements.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure employee data consistency across systems and resolve discrepancies proactively.

  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, including taxes, social security, and other labor-related obligations.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements.

  • Partner with external payroll providers and auditors to ensure alignment with Diageo’s standards and control frameworks.

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards in all payroll-related activities.

Requirements

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Payroll certification or specialization (desirable but not mandatory).

  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a Shared Service Center or multinational environment.

  • Venezuela Payroll Knowledge high desirably. 

  • Proven experience working with payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, SuccessFactors, or similar).

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data management tools.

  • Language: English Professional working proficiency.
