Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice.
The Patient Service Rep/Medical Assistant performs clinical support services, assists with clerical duties and maintains patient care documentation in medical records. This position is responsible for providing professional care specifically to Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Greet and check-in patients: Welcome patients, help them with registration, and ensure they have the correct forms to fill out.
Answer phones: Handle incoming calls, take messages, and route them to the appropriate staff members.
Schedule appointments: Book and confirm appointments and handle reminder calls.
Verify insurance: Check insurance eligibility and confirm coverage for services
Back office: Assist with back-office duties when needed
Qualifications
High School graduate, preferred
Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or completion of a Medical Assisting program
Current CPR certification
Basic PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional customer service experience
Anticipated hourly range: $21.00 per hour - $27.83 per hour
