Description:

Schedule: 30 hours per week, Nights

  • Week 1: Sunday 11p-9a, Thursday 11p-9a, Friday 9p-7a
  • Week 2: Monday 11p-9a, Friday 9p-7a, Saturday 9p-7a
  • Training: The first two weeks of training are M-F, 8a-430pm must be able to attend this*

What you will do:

  • Provide patient focused customer service.
  • Perform outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions;
  • Collect patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals.
  • Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices

What you will need:

  • 1 year customer service experience, required
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Data entry skills (50 to 60 keystrokes per minute)
  • Basic computer skills
  • HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
  • Accuracy and attentiveness to detail and time management skills.

Nice to have:

  • Medical terminology
  • Knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits, secure necessary authorizations
