Job Description Summary

Performs accurate clinic registration of patients, not to exclude scheduling, authorization and insurance verification functions using proper resources provided by MUSC. Collects co-pay/coinsurance at time of service according to the MUSC policies. Corrects registration errors to prevent front-end denials. Provides excellent patient focused customer service, and communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Answer phones calls according proper protocol provided by MUSC.

Additional Job Description

High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred. Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred. 3-12 hours shifts per week Mon-Fri 8a-8p.
