Summary
Perform clerical and general office functions and correspondence for the Centers. Gather demographic and financial information pertinent for the Center visit and to enable customer satisfaction and Center financial viability. Verifies all information, enters data into computer system and adheres to requirements of specific insurance companies to complete each registration. Schedule patient for Center visits. Responsible for the collection of referrals and/or authorizations as needed. Maintain the integrity of Center files and reports. Files and retrieves patient charts and patient reports; assists physician or provider in review of patient charts for necessary signatures and documentation. Completes all required reports, both financial and administrative. Assist patients appropriately according to their age from pediatric to geriatric, their families, physicians and other customers in person and by telephone.Job Description:

Primary Care
The Patient Access Coordinator makes patient appointments and reminder calls. Greets and registers and checks in or out all patients. Verifies demographic and insurance coverage information and enters into appropriate system/patient record. Collects co-pays and other payments and prepares daily deposit & reconciliation report. Receives and accurately and timely relays all phone messages to and from providers and logs them appropriately. Also provides clerical/secretarial support to the office as needed by typing correspondence and reports, sorting and delivering mail, processing incoming and outgoing faxes and ordering and maintaining supplies.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:
A. High school diploma or equivalent.
B. Computer skills required.
C. Medical terminology skills preferred.
D. Prior medical office experience preferred.
