Orion - Sr Specialist, Partnerships

Position Summary

The Senior Specialist, Partnerships works closely with the Sr Manager & Vice President to support the agency in its next phase of evolution.  The successful candidate will build and maintain agency relationships across multiple media accounts at IPG Mediabrands. This person is a subject matter expert at Orion, responsible for managing the day-to-day activities for all Orion clients & partners, including strategic and tactical campaign management and providing solutions to deliver on client business objectives – they bring an innovative and analytical mindset and are able to identify new growth opportunities for organic growth. The Senior Specialist works in connection with other departments including Kinesso and Finance, they are required to meet all expectations of agency & media partnerships. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated team ensuring clear, timely messaging and reporting while delivering media intelligence to enhance the client media product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with other IPG companies as an Orion representative to ensure Orion capabilities and offerings are top of mind with client teams
  • Oversee KSO/AOR teams on Programmatic adoption and usage
  • Review, validate and deliver Programmatic tracking reports to all Orion client teams, both internal as well as external
  • Responsible for Programmatic & Digital process and completion
  • Training/onboarding new employees on programmatic/digital processes
  • Oversight, evaluation, and tracking of contractual commitments made with media partners
  • Liaison for Kinesso in relation to Direct, Programmatic & Social partnerships
  • Digital Activation responsibilities related to purchasing, reporting & billing of campaign activity across a diverse range of clients
  • Assist with various Orion Select activations
  • Responsible for managing day-to-day client deliverables and prioritization of projects across departments while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Maintain, build and grow key relationships internally across all agency departments to help manage on-going organizational improvements related to interdepartmental functions that ensure company growth
  • Partner with finance team on financial reporting tasks, forecasting and actualizing client activity
  • Identify areas of growth and potential partnership opportunities
  • Develop and manage partnership programs
  • Identify, create and improve operational processes and efficiencies to drive operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with Business Intelligence team on reporting solutions
  • Participate and attend agency training and education programs

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Post secondary education – University graduate or advertising/marketing College degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of planning/buying expertise the Media Industry
  • A solid understanding of the media marketplace inclusive of digital
  • Ability to foster and build cross divisional relationships with clients, colleagues and partners
  • Excellent follow-up and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience with direct partner contact and nurturing a partnership is an asset
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
  • Demonstrated fiscal management experience and analytical skills, including math proficiency
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to approach obstacles with creativity and resolve
  • Organizational skills and strong sense of attention to detail is a must
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
