Major Duties:

  • Assists management with the operation of a facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag.
  • May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.
  • The employee works under closer than normal supervision wherein work is closely reviewed and detailed guidance provided as needed. As employee progresses, supervisory control diminishes until full performance level is accomplished.

Highly Preferred candidates will meet the criteria below: Current Louisiana high school student currently applied and qualified for the Career Compass Louisiana Business internship Program **Proof of qualification documentation must be provided at time of application to be considered eligible for highly preferred criteria.** All qualified candidates will be placed in an NF-01 Developmental position initially, with potential to be promoted to NF-02 at a later date. **The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted no earlier than 6 months of satisfactory performance provided the target position description is classifiable to its present title, pay plan, series, and pay level at the time the incumbent has completed the required training, meets all regulatory and qualification requirements and is performing the full scope of the major duties under the proper level of supervision. NF-01 Minimum Qualifications: No experience required. NF-02 Minimum Qualifications Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. Skill in providing customer service. Ability to communicate effectively.
