Murrey’s Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Administrative Assistant to support our District Manager, Operations Manager, and Supervisory team.
This role is crucial in ensuring that operational, compliance, community engagement, and employee-related processes are completed accurately and efficiently. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay Range: $27–$30/hour
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage daily administrative tasks and supervisor requests to support the Operations, Safety, and Leadership teams.
Maintain and track P-Card purchases for the Operations Manager.
Prepare Safety and Performance summaries and monthly metrics (DriveCam, Escalated Issues, I-Rate, Missed Pickups, Risky Drivers, Driver Compliments, etc.).
Support coordination of community, employee, and company events (e.g., Meeker Days, Touch-a-Truck, Washington State Fair).
Prepare and post Safety Campaigns, Safety Team Members, and ABC Tracker updates.
Order supplies including Hi-vis shirts, hardhats, safety vests, event swag, employee swag, and operational/office kitchen supplies.
Prepare and post employee of the quarter, birthdays, and anniversaries.
Maintain and ensure all postings in the operations area are current and relevant.
Employee Records & HR Administration
Maintain employee personnel changes in Beacon and HireRight, including new hire setup.
Assist with Workday-related tasks such as resolving direct deposit or login issues.
Qualifications
Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in operations or logistics.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant systems (Workday, Beacon, HireRight).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
