Job description Summary

Operational Risk Specialist will be responsible for conducting policy collateral reviews, investigating discrepancy notice and entity management. The individual would also be accountable for trends or process gaps and additional analytical information regarding brokers, insurance carrier and general agents and making recommendations to operational risk and credit risk. The role will entail ongoing communication with internal and external clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct policy verification for pending contracts through policy document(s) support and underwriter confirmations.  Validating details of collateral and for any discrepancies following up with internal team to re-structure loan parameters.
  • Administer Entity management duties, including broker, carrier, mga on-boarding and maintenance.
  • Communicate with brokers and clients to build and maintain a strong working relationship and reduce broker and client attrition.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to drive ongoing efficiency initiatives
  • Produce reports, analyze and interpret findings. Communicate results with leaders as required, and ensure understanding of business impact.
  • Participate ongoing with all internal and external audit proceedings as directed by management.

Training/Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • College Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years work experience in the financial services industry ideally within the Insurance Industry.
  • Fluency in French (written and spoken) is an asset
