Department of Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine 

 

The Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging in the Department of Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.

The successful applicant will join a faculty of more than 80 clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. Responsibilities Clinical 

  • Interpret musculoskeletal imaging studies and perform musculoskeletal procedures. 

  • Provide musculoskeletal imaging consultations and emergency patient care as needed. 

  • Exercise quality assurance in musculoskeletal and general radiology. 

  • Participate in the departmental on-call schedule. 

  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as assigned. 

  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel. 

 

Teaching & Education 

  • Contribute to educational programs at multiple levels, including: 

  • Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine residency training programs 

  • Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship Program 

  • Medical student education 

  • Technologist training programs 

  • Continuing medical education courses 

Research 

  • Engage in clinical research initiatives within musculoskeletal and general radiology. 

  • Support and promote innovation through collaboration with faculty and trainees. 

 

Administration & Service 

  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division. 

  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair. 

 

Qualifications 

  • MD or DO degree (or equivalent). 

  • Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology. 

  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certification. 

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Florida. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarly activity. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
