Position Summary: As an Occupational Health Practitioner, you will deliver preventive and acute care in clinical or onsite settings to protect workers' health and safety, especially in high-risk environments. They collaborate with employers to ensure compliance with health standards across various sectors, including corporate, industrial, government, and academic. The role operates under the supervision of a Collaborating Physician, as required by the PA Board of Nursing/Board of Medicine.
Essential functions, responsibilities:
Working with safety professionals in developing and implementing health and safety programs.
Working collaboratively with other safety and health professionals in developing disease prevention programs, such as smoking cessation, exercise, and healthy eating programs.
Assessing, treating, and documenting all employee injuries and illnesses within the workplace.
Observing and assessing the work environment with other safety professionals for potential dangers and hazards.
Serving as a gatekeeper for healthcare services, including rehabilitation and disability matters.
Counseling employees on physical and mental health issues and guiding them toward community resources and/or employee assistance programs.
Other similar and/or related duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Experience:
Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants (Required).
Have a current CRNP/PA license in the state of Pennsylvania (Required).
Must have Certification on the NRCME for DOT examinations or obtain within 45 days of employment.
Understand various Occupational Health & Wellness and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge of FMLA, HIPPA regulations, as well as Disability management.
Demonstrated computer literacy.
Deal directly with patients in a manner that instills confidence and facilitates communication.
Work and communicate effectively with diverse medical personnel including physicians, technicians, and nurses.
Work well in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to speak, hear, have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Walk (occasionally), sit- up to 8hrs. a day, stand (occasionally), use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, able to lift-up to 15lbs.(occasionally).
