About the Role

  • The Occupancy Strategist plays a key role in shaping high-performing, data-informed, and employee-centric environments across our national commercial workplace portfolio. Operating as a self-starter, this role demands depth and breadth of experience across workplace strategy and occupancy planning.
  • With a strong emphasis on strategic planning, the Occupancy Strategist develops workplace briefs, leads business unit allocation and management activities, and delivers actionable insights through occupancy data analysis. Working closely with delivery, leasing, and business unit stakeholders, the role supports the implementation of property strategies that enhance space optimization, employee experience, and operational alignment.

What You’ll Do

  • Workplace Brief Development
    • Create and maintain workplace briefs that integrate occupancy data insights with stakeholder consultation. Ensure briefs reflect current usage trends, business needs, and future planning scenarios.
  • Implementation of Space Management Tools & Processes
    • Configure and implement fit-for-purpose systems, tools, and frameworks that support occupancy planning. Apply a mindset for AI, automation to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enable efficient ways of working.
  • Business Unit Allocation Management
    • Lead the allocation of business units, across corporate offices. Use utilisation data to guide seating arrangements that foster collaboration and optimise space efficiency.
  • Occupancy Data Management
    • Respond to occupancy-related requests, consolidate and analyse data across sites, and provide reporting that supports strategic decision-making. Collaborate with BI analysts and property leads to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
  • Support Property Strategy Implementation
    • Partner with delivery and leasing teams to implement property-led strategies, including space rationalisation, lease planning, and workplace revitalisation projects. Provide occupancy insights to inform leasing decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with internal stakeholders across business units to validate workplace plans, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with operational needs. Facilitate transparent communication around occupancy changes and strategic initiatives.
  • Desk Booking System Support
    • Provide support to the team in managing workstation and building availability within the desk booking tool. Assist with configuration updates, ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to improving the user experience where needed.

About You

You will bring the following skills and experiences to be successful in the role:

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze, challenge, interpret and report data for effective decision making.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and drive efficient outcomes.
  • Proven experience in corporate real estate and/or workplace experience.
  • Commercial acumen and finance/numerical expertise.
