Location: Remote (USA)
Though we have an office based in Calgary, Canada this is a remote position that is open to candidates across the USA. PurposeMed's office is located on the unceded and traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region which includes the nations of the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda which consists of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney Bands, and people of the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to the Otipemisiwak Métis government, Métis Nation Battle River Territory, Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6.

Come and join the #1 rated PrEP provider in North America, Freddie! We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner licensed in multiple states to provide high-quality, virtual sexual health care to our patients across the U.S. 
At Freddie, our patients are our #1 priority—we’re passionate about delivering an exceptional, 11/10 star experience. Our team provides empathetic, stigma-free, and client-centered care for those seeking preventative care through PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and DoxyPEP, as well as treatment for those living with HIV. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to reducing health disparities within diverse populations, including those in the LGBTQ2IA+ community.
In this role, you’ll make an impact by:
Providing Compassionate, High-Quality Synchronous Care
- Delivering inclusive, expert, virtual care through scheduled synchronous consultations through our virtual care platform
 
- Leading comprehensive initial assessments for those seeking preventative care, including but not limited to: history taking, risk assessment, and psychosocial evaluations
 
- Providing comprehensive sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (STBBI) prevention education to clients (with a focus on HIV prevention), including risk reduction strategies and behavioral counseling
 
- Championing health education and empowerment, helping patients understand their treatment options, navigate stigma, and take control of their wellness
 
Supporting Seamless Asynchronous Patient Care 
- Providing asynchronous care to ensure timely and continuous support for patients, including ordering labs and diagnostics, interpreting results, prescribing medication, and clinical follow-up
 
- Maintaining accurate, detailed patient records in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, using a wide variety of virtual tools to chart, prescribe, and connect with patients 
 
- Collaborating with and acting as a resource for our team of Registered Nurses and support team members, helping to support end-to-end patient care
 
Driving Clinical Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Championing continuous improvement by supporting the development and piloting of initiatives that enhance patient care
 
- Conducting clinical audits, delivering feedback on best practices and contributing to the ongoing improvements to the audit process 
 
- Facilitating the onboarding and development of new clinicians through workflow modeling, shadow shifts and education to uphold Freddie’s clinical standards
 
- Providing clinical expertise in complex cases, managing escalations and ensuring appropriate follow-up and continuity of care
 
We need someone who has:
- A Master's degree in Nursing and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner diploma
 
- Active Nurse Practitioner licenses in at least 10 states
 
- 2+ years of experience in sexual health
 
- Excellent communication skills and empathetic care delivery
 
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience working with gender and sexually diverse communities
 
- Experience providing virtual care
 
- Experience working in the private sector, a start-up, or a technology company
 
- Experience working in an independent or autonomous practice setting
 
- Fluency in Spanish considered an asset
 
Compensation:
- $120,000 USD a year
 
- The compensation listed above refers to a yearly base salary that may vary depending on a candidate's relevant qualifications, knowledge, competencies and work experience, and other factors including market conditions.
