Nurse Manager for 42-bed multi-specialty unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus. Provides 24/7 clinical and operational oversight

Pay Range

$50.05 - $75.10

Where You Will Work:

Oversight for 3 multi-specialty departments including 3J Medical Oncology (14 beds), 3H Medical Telemetry/Progressive (14 beds), and 3G Nephrology (14 beds). Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed licensed tertiary care facility experiencing amazing growth in order to meet the ever-growing needs of the communities that we serve. We are looking for an experienced nurse manager with a strong ability to prioritize and adapt to changing situations while providing operational and clinical oversight to three specialty units.

These three units are part of the AH Cabarrus Medical Division with comprises 165 beds of our facility, all reporting to Shannon Morton (Associate Vice President, Patient Care Services). We are invested in a positive culture for our nursing teams and within the division we work closely and collaboratively to provide evidence-based care for our patients.

About the three units:

The Medical Telemetry/Progressive unit (3H) is undergoing transformation to increase acuity and enhance nursing competencies in order to meet growing community needs. The patient population cared for on this unit is diverse, staff are trained in procedural recovery after cardiac catheterization, and can take continuous IV drips, with the goal that this unit will continue to transition to care for progressive/step-down status patients.

Nursing staff working on 3J Oncology are skilled in oncologic nursing and require chemotherapy certification.

Nephrology staff perform peritoneal dialysis treatments throughout our large facility and are skilled in taking care of patients with end-stage renal disease.

 

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • MSN Preferred
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

 

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
