$86,528.00 - $127,845.12

Position Overview

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:BS or BSN. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience:Three years experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care healthcare facility preferred. Experience planning and conducting training programs in corporate, educational or healthcare setting.

Other Credentials:AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider,Registered Nurse - NJ

Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional methods. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Strong presentation, facilitation and group process skills. Demonstrated ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and presentation software.

Special Training: Certified in area of specialty.

Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:

Usual Work Day: 8 Hours  

  • Facilitates staff education on restraint and seclusion, Level of Observation, TIC and Handle with care.
  • Captures, analyzes and shares STCF data such as admissions, discharges, and length of stay. Presents systems issues with referrals, transportation, patient cases during SRC meetings.
  • Assists in the development, timely updates and maintenance of educational material.
  • Acts as a resource person for the staff, new hires and the unit.
  • Updates policies, affiliation agreements, and STCF inspection preparation and STCF checklist.
  • Develops and implements education programs according to the needs of the staff and policy/practice changes.
  • Participates in the evaluation of performance improvement and regulatory requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes patient satisfaction data.
  • Assists with annual competencies and staff development.
  • Attends and participates in daily team report.
  • Attends and participates in state, facility and out of county Systems Review Committee meeting.
  • Collects, analyzes and disseminates NDNQI restraints/seclusion and assault data.
  • Develops post STCF inspection action plan/remediation plans when warranted.
  • Chairs the practice council meeting and develop solutions to unfolding issues.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
