About the role

  • Provide hands-on support to the Theranostics and Nuclear Medicine team under the supervision of qualified Allied Health and/or Medical Radiation Professionals

  • Assist with direct patient care including routine evaluations, preparing patients for imaging or treatment, and providing clear service information

  • Support patient wellbeing by facilitating recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and enhance quality of life

  • Carry out delegated administrative tasks such as word processing, phone calls, photocopying, maintaining inventory records, monitoring resource utilisation, and laminating

  • Participate in ongoing education, supervision, and performance development to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery

  • Accurately report patient information—verbally and/or in writing—to supervisors and the wider multidisciplinary team to support assessment, care planning, and treatment

About you

  • Confident communicating with patients, families and staff, with strong written and verbal communication skills and solid computer literacy

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, building effective working relationships with health professionals

  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines and work within scope of practice—seeking guidance when needed

  • Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements, including principles relevant to radiation safety

  • Experience with manual handling, including assisting patients and safely using equipment such as trolleys, beds and manual handling devices

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst.
