As a NSW Manager - Growth & Distribution you will lead the growth of EML’s NSW Workers Compensation market by generating and closing new business opportunities. You will build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners, working closely with Key Account Managers to identify and pursue growth initiatives.

You will represent EML at safety events, forums, and industry meetings, contribute to tenders and proposals, and help drive strategic initiatives that strengthen EML’s presence in the market.


This will be a full-time, permanent position based in our Sydney office, with flexibility to work up to 2 days from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and manage new business opportunities within the NSW NI market, including lead generation, pipeline development, and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and operational teams to develop tailored growth strategies and maximise stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of tenders, proposals, and executive-level presentations to clients and intermediaries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and industry partners to enhance EML’s market presence.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, business opportunities, and growth activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Support internal teams by providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to strengthen business development capabilities and processes.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, relationship management, or account management within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation, disability, or personal injury management, with understanding of self-insurance and multi-state schemes highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to generate results, including closing new business and growing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
