NHS Bookings Administrative Assistant
Location: New Hall Hospital, Salisbury
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits
Summary:
New Hall Hospital is one of Wiltshire's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Situated in 14 acres of quiet, landscaped parkland two miles south of Salisbury, the Georgian Manor House was opened as a hospital in 1980 and currently has 32 patient beds.
By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The fully equipped ultra clean air theatre suite is particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacements. The day unit is suitable for minor operations and endoscopy.
The role:
We currently have a great opportunity for an NHS Bookings Administrative Assistant to join our team at New Hall Hospital, based in Salisbury.
This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, consultants and all hospital departments. We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative and the ability to work within a team. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential. Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Liaising with patients by phone & letter
Booking appointments
Liaising with consultants and their secretaries
Ensuring timely completion of appointments onto EPR system
Scanning & auditing of patient information
Preparation of clinics
Maintaining clinics on the EPR system
Booking appointments
Reception duties as required
What you will bring with you:
Excellent organisational skills
An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills – written and oral
An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel
The ability to work within a team
The ability to time-manage
Experience using a Patient Administration System (PAS) an advantage
