The opportunity

  • Join our Construction and Engineering Portfolio team.
  • Opportunity for an experienced Engineering Product Specialist/ Underwriter; a Civil Engineer or a construction industry expert
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our products across the country.

Your new role

You will collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager to develop and implement the Product Business Plan, aiming for sustainable growth and an expanded market share. You will:

  • Be the expert in engineering communicating with internal stakeholders to underwriting complex construction projects.
  • Be instrumental in fostering strong relationships with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Dissect complex civil engineering and construction plans, reports and contracts
  • Complete ongoing product reviews and monitor portfolio performance.

About you

We're seeking individuals with:

  • A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • A proven track record within insurance or a comparable industry, you're poised to make an immediate impact.
  • Ability in reading complex plans and blueprints
